With your help we want to develop the worlds first online tool by which people can virtually sculpt their personal text, logo, name or icon, into 3D printed iPad Cases. In this way, the Case design becomes one of a kind, a personal story about you.

In contrast to mass-produced products, every single product we make will be unique - the only one of its kind in the world. The personal message of the owner interacts with the design of the 3D structure of the case. In order to make this a reality, we need your support.
The Pledges
Your help is appreciated no matter what. For a buck, you get a wallpaper pack with exclusive photos of this project. Just $7 will put your name together with 29 other backers on a 3D printed iPad Case that will travel the world - from design fairs to museums. For $37 you will have a foldable stand with your name on it, this stand will put your iPad in the perfect position for watching movies, it also helps you to type more conveniently.
If you support us for $77, you are getting your hands on one of the exclusive Custom iPad Cases specially designed for Kickstarter, with your own text, logo, name or icon (see Case customized with Kickstarter logo below).
For 97$ or more we’ll make you a customized iPad Case with a built-in stand. Fold it out so you can watch movies or presentations in upright position.
To protect your iPad when you go outdoors, we will add a leather carry bag tailored to showcase your customized iPad Case even when it's in the bag.
For our top backers, we go all the way. Teaming up with you, the designers of Freedom Of Creation will make a completely personal iPad Case. You can go all out on this one; you say you want rolling ball slide, a windmill or the statue of liberty we will make it work. You deliver the inspiration, we will make sure it rocks in 3D!
Online Customization Tool: why we need your pledges
Fresh Fiber produces all their iPhone, iPad, and Blackberry cases with cutting edge 3D printing machines. The designs are based on digital files which our engineers craft carefully by hand using computer aided design tools.
A new online design tool would make it easy for everybody to personalize their products. It starts with just text and logo's, but of course possibilities are endless. When the customer is done with customizing their product a digital file is sent to the 3D printing machines.
If each product is different, every product needs to be identified in the production process. Using intelligent logistics, the different products need to be sent to the right customer. We wouldn't want John to receive Sarah's customized iPad case. So everyone will get their own personal serial number, which is also showcased on the Case itself.
Why use 3D printing to make this ?
This level of product customization is impossible to achieve using traditional injection moulding technologies, you would need to make a new mould for each design. Using 3D printing, an object is made layer by layer in a 3D printing machine. All you need to change is the digital file of the design (see how 3D printing works here).
