Not only the aesthetic qualities but also the physical building qualities of materials will be on show during the Noise, Vibration and Air Quality (GTL) Trade Fair taking place at Nieuwegein (the Netherlands) with materials that cushion vibrations, absorb noise, are able to purify the air and regulate moisture; that can, in short, improve the physical comfort of the internal and external living climate. A collection has been put together specifically for architects and specialists that is interesting from both an architectonic and a physical building perspective.
During the congress, various specialists will speak about the internal and external climate, about problems and solutions concerning noise nuisance associated with motorways and airports, how to improve the quality of air in schools and public buildings and how to tackle the problem of air pollution along motorways. On 6 November, Els Zijlstra of Materia will also be giving a talk about various materials that can offer a solution to these problems.
