Barnwood

Barnwood is carefully recovered from old American barns, typically 100 to 150 years old, which are scheduled for demolition. These boards are a mixture of Eastern White Pine, Hemlock, Spruce and White Pine, with Eastern White Pine accounting for 80% of the available stock. Barnwood is suitable for flooring, as well as for covering walls and ceilings. The material is available in old grey-brown boards, weathered by the atmosphere over many generations or boards, which are milled to remove the outer layers, revealing a rich pumpkin patina, which only comes with age.
