Herzog & de Meuron revealed Le Projet Triangle which takes advantage of both solar and wind power. An incredible structure that will rise 200 meters from the Porte de Versailles in Paris. It will incorporate shops and restaurants at the ground level in addition to offices, a conference center and a 400 room hotel. This stunning skyscraper will feature a profile so slim that it casts virtually no shadow. read more..

Stunning lace designs have been set in concrete as part of the Centre for Contemporary Arts Nottingham (CCAN) by Caruso St John Architects. The project was a major challenge for Trent Concrete, which used its extensive precast experience to reproduce a unique lace pattern in the reconstructed stone cladding. read more..

Inspiration


Mold garden? Enlarged images of common molds ( bread mold and fruit mold) were sandblasted onto glass. Each of the carved out areas in the glass became like tiny petri dishes which were filled with growth medium, and inoculated with mold spores. During the show the mold grew on the glass, creating a double portrait of the fungus, both life sized and hugely magnified. read more..
