Trapped Beauty bracelet wins 3D printing contest


Materia has announced the winners of the 3D Printing Jewellery Contest. Dutch designer Gerard Mekenkamp has won the first prize with his design for the bracelet ‘Trapped Beauty’.

Scientists create lightest material on Earth


Scientists at UC Irvine, HRL Laboratories and Caltech claim to have made the lightest material on Earth. The new material is so lightweight it can be placed atop a dandelion without crushing the little seeds.
