Inspired by the art of origami, Growth is an appropriately named pot design that grows alongside your plant, accommodating more soil, water and expanding roots as it unfolds. Designed Bike and Begum Ayaskan from the London based Studio Ayaskan, the designers were inspired by nature’s ability to grow, transform and unfold over time.

However instead of folding paper, they worked by folding polypropylene materials figuring out the trigonometry behind the desired forms and calculating ratios to determine he starting, middle and end shape wanted. A mesh also made of polypropylene is attached to the base, allowing the water to drain out.

Growth is currently on the production line with the designers confident it will become available in the next few months.
