This textured E-glass is made in a mechanical drawing process, with a defined diameter of 6 – 15 µm. It provides no health risks, as it contains no toxic components. In addition, it has high strength, provides good electrical and thermal insulation, and is incombustible. The material is available in various shapes, such as yarn, (knitted) rope, and woven fabrics.
