EKOTEX Wandafwerking, a subsidiary of RELIUS Benelux, presents a new glass fibre concept on the market offering unique features.
With more than 25 years experience, EKOTEX Excellent Wandafwerking offers top-quality glass fibres for use as a wall covering and for superior surface design. EKOTEX wallcoverings are made of E-glass, in the form of continuous filaments. The glass fibres are mainly composed of silica sand, clay and limestone. Solvent and emission-free, these materials contain no harmful substances. Modern technologies are used to generate additional market opportunities. Committed to green design principles, RELIUS Benelux and EKOTEX aim to develop forward-looking, socially responsible and environmentally friendly products.
The EKOTEX range includes the following 10 systems: Excellent, Sprint, Hygiene, Clean Air, Ecological, Insulation – Acoustic/Thermal, Magnet/Whiteboard/Chalk, Photo, Basic, Exclusive – Super Fine.
EKOTEX Excellent Wandafwerking is available in contemporary designs ranging from smooth, fine modern structures to intense designs. EKOTEX Wandafwerking has outstanding technical and ecological properties. EKOTEX glass fibre wall paper is in accordance with DIN EN 13501-1: 2007 certified for fire protection and meets Class b-s1, d0. EKOTEX also meets the high quality Ökotex Standard 100 Class 1. All systems are also BREEAM compliant.
The production of EKOTEX includes a life cycle assessment. This LCA provides information on the environmental data of the product according to the international standard ISO 14025. This information is recorded in an EHR and forms the basis for the assessment of buildings at the ecological level, as defined in the new European project “Sustainable Buildings”. The EPD provides insight into an appropriate choice of materials.
